Now that the Dodge Viper production has ended, we sadly have to think about the moment when the Dodge Challenger and Charger will say goodbye. The rumors about the next-gen models are already strong, but, until we move on, we could indulge in a bit of digital fantasy, one that has to do with the circuit realm.
We're talking about the Dodge Challenger SRT-R Hellcat, a racecar incarnation of the muscle machine that would make use of the awesome factory-blown HEMI that dominates the horsepower war currently taking place in the muscle car world.

The image we have here comes from the pixel-addicted digital art label rc-workchop, picturing a machine that would enjoy being thrown around the most difficult corners possible.

Come to think of it, this race would come to avenge all the Hellcat owners who have been the target of boat jokes.

Even though we don't get to check out the face of the Mopar athlete, the canards we can spot on the side of the front apron, along with the uber-wide tacks, tell us a thing or two about the chronograph might of the thing.

Then we have all the complex aero work found on the side of the machine, while the posterior is a mix of brutally-sized elements. We're referring to the Pikes Peak-grade fixed wing (note that the lip spoiler of the factory car hasn't been removed) and the monstrous diffuser.

As with the real-world Dodge Challenger SRT racecar, which made its debut in the Trans-Am series back in 2014, the fiberglass body of the machine, along with its fully-stripped interior, would mean this could be a Challenger with a reasonable scale footprint.

And while the SRT racer is animated by a naturally aspirated V8 churning out 499 ponies, the supercharged growl of this virtual beast would easily take over any arena.
