It’s raining NASCAR race cars and we just love getting soaking wet. After Ford introduced the Mustang NASCAR Nationwide series racer, it is now Dodge’s turn to offer a contemporary American racing legend: the Challenger. However, the two companies have chosen to use different marketing initiatives to mark the launch of their race vehicles.

As we reported, Ford announced that it will offer a new 5.0 Mustang GT to any of its drivers who wins the Subway Jalapeno 250, which is scheduled to take place at the Daytona International Speedway this Friday.

Dodge chose to focus on its fans rather than its drivers for the event, as the company is holding a series of special public events to celebrate the introduction of the NASCAR Nationwide Challenger race car.

The carmaker will host multiple concerts this week and will also bring interactive displays at the Daytona International Speedway. The company will also offer enthusiasts the opportunity to take part in a complex autograph session with its NASCAR drivers.

We’ve been looking forward to this race weekend for quite some time, “ said Ralph Gilles, president of Dodge, expressing the carmaker’ trophy-winning intentions. “Our new Dodge Challenger race car brings true brand identity back to NASCAR.

We’ve already placed our money on... the two vehicles (unfortunately we can’t tell you how many of us chose a certain racer) and would be curious to see what you think about the NASCAR Challenger and Mustang. So, which one is your favorite?
