The Internet loves the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and world wide web users show the same level of fanaticism for the original NSX, be it in Acura or Honda form. But what happens when the two meet?
"A bit of automotive education" is probably a good answer to the question above. Everybody knows the Challenger is an unapologetic machine in just about every sense, size obviously included, but many of those who have never seen the original NSX in person will be staggered by how small the sportscar is.

In fact, the retro JDM delight looks more like a toy car when parked next to the blown slab of America. In this respect, the original NSX is a bit like Le Mans prototypes, which appear much larger when they occupy your screen than when they sit in front of you.

The picture, which was taken during a car meet and showed up on Reddit, actually brings up the interesting topic of how Internet car love happens.

The story with the Challenger Hellcat doesn't get more complicated than 707 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque, all in a four-seat, factory-wrapped package. So the reasons for the demonic feline gathering a fanbase are obvious.

But what about the NSX - How does it manage to fuel the fire after two and a half decades?

Well, when a Honda manages to outperform a Ferrari, as it happened with the NSX and the 348 it targeted, the Japanese machine will certainly receive a godhead.

The amazing part is how the reputation of the NSX has managed to keep the legen alive over the years, especially when Honda chose the wrong development path for the sportscar.

The NSX was on the market for about 15 years and while its competitors received new generations (Ferrari introduces no less than three during the NSX life cycle), Honda chose to simply introduce updates for its halo car.

Sure, they've reignited the nameplate back in January in detroit, but the hybrid machine story is something different.

It's not like Italians don't know what "milking the cash cow" means. After all, Lamborghini use a single V12, albeit with serious updates, from its inception until the arrival of the Aventador, but Honda took things too far.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see how much charisma the new NSX has.
