Dodge Caliber and Nitro Pulled From UK Market

The Dodge Caliber and Nitro, two models which are popular on their domestic market, have been pulled of from the brand’s UK model range.

The company decided to send the vehicles home due to the microscopic sales figures registered by both of them. The move means that the brand currently has a one model line-up in England, with the Journey seven seat Multi Purpose Vehicle being the only Dodge car offered to British customers.

As we’ve said, things aren’t the same for the two vehicles on the U.S. automotive market, where the Caliber model has registered such a high demand that its production rate had to be increased. In September last year, Chrysler announced the introduction of a second shift at its Belvidere, Illinois plant that brings the vehicle to the world. During the same month, Chrysler unveiled the facelifted version of the Caliber, which comes with multiple interior changes and a new common-rail diesel (CRD) powerplant.

At the beginning of the year, the domestic market version of the Dodge Nitro has been revised, with the range including three models: Heat, Detonator and Shock. The Nitro can be ordered in nine exterior colors, including the spectacular Detonator Yellow Clear Coat.

The entry level model of the range is the Heat, which offers 23 percent more power and 12 percent more torque than its predecessor. The Detonator model features a new hood decal, a premium sound speaker and a few other extra features. The range-topping Shock model adds a sun roof and a set of leather seats to the game.
