The reason we specifically used the words “blow shi*t up” is because it’s how Arnold Schwarzenegger named his most recent charity campaign. It’s a sequel to last year’s gig when a lucky fan flew into LA and joined the Terminator actor into crushing things with a tank.
You can laugh as much as you want, but the idea of these gigs celebrities are doing in order to raise money for good causes it’s more than important. The best part is they’re also effective and fun to watch.
So last year, the Terminator actor partnered up with Omaze to offer one happy fan the chance to hang out and crush things with his newly bought 49-ton, 750 horsepower M48 Patton tank. The charity works with a simple system: each donor pays the minimum $10 entry fee and automatically puts their name into the hat (which reads: a computer program). The proceeds in The Terminator actor's case go to After-School All-Stars Foundation.
The initiative was a success. There even is a film showcasing the winner’s adventures with the man who took down Predator and saved Sarah Connor. In fact, it turns out there’s going to be a sequel running this year too.
Here’s how Omaze describes what will happen this time: “Go on a mission to blow sh*t up with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Blow up toilets, blow up La-Z-Boys, blow up a car (and so much more…), and then walk away from the fiery rubble like a badass.”
Expenses such as the flight to Los Angeles and accommodation in a 4-star hotel will also be covered. There are about 45 days left until the final draw so you’d better hurry if you want to "blow sh*t up" with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
