Let’s face it: the world is full of snobs and hypocrites that can’t seem to admit that they are going about their business in a completely wrong fashion. One of the biggest hypocrites, you’ll ever meet as a petrol head is the stick shift driver.
He’s that dude that makes up all sorts of stupid reasons to justify his pick in transmission choices and make fun of everyone else that dared not to go down the same road. You know him, he’s that dude that says all kinds of crazy stuff about automatic transmissions just to make you feel bad.
And you’d be stupid to pay attention to half of what comes out of his pie hole. Take it from a team of journalists here: manual transmissions are a thing of the past! Furthermore, with the current advancements recorded in the field of automatic gear shifters, the old fashion way of driving a car is slowly becoming obsolete.
Sure, it's a lot more engaging to use a manual and it offers you more control, but to be honest, unless you actually take your ride to the track, you'll never need that level of control.
On top of that, the claim that ‘real men drive stick’ is no longer valid, not that it ever was as a matter of fact. Other stuff you’ll hear these people saying will probably be along the lines of ‘I get better mpg’ or ‘automatics are for grandmas’ but we all know how much truth lies in them.
