My favorite car in Mad Max: Fury Road was by far the Doof Wagon, because, let’s face it, every army truly needs a little drummer boy, just like the director put it. But it’s not just the gorgeous thousands Watts machine on wheels that impresses, but also the lead guitarist with his flame-throwing instrument. This DIY fan seems to think the same, so he built something similar as a tribute.
“Here, mounted drummers pound a taiko beat on huge resonators built of Aircon duct, while Coma the Doof warrior blind and disfigured, slung in a web of bungee and spread-eagled before a stack of speakers, hurtles across the desert landscape on a repurposed 8x8 M.A.N. missile-carrier.” That is how the vehicle is described on the Mad Max: Fury Road website.
Sure our story is not about the vehicle itself, rather of the main character riding on it, which is Doof. This guy loves his guitar so much there’s nothing stopping him from playing it. Playing and spitting flames that is.

Sure, his is a smaller unit, a ukulele that can always make for a little brother of a guitar, especially next to a beach campfire. The point is, it does do the work.
“I didn’t want to try to replicate exactly what he had, and I also wanted to scale things down to be marginally safer. My version can be built from hardware store parts in a very short amount of time,” the DIY craftsman explains in his post.
