December may sound like a planet far, far away, but it’s right around the corner, like it or not. The month often described as the land of snow and gifts put under the Christmas tree, it also is the moment when the newest installment of the legendary Star Wars saga hits the screens. Until then, you could get this drone Disney has prepared for the young padawan within.
Wait, this is not the first drone of the kind, is it? Nope, it’s not, only that this time we’re talking about a series of toy-drones Disney has prepared for the Star Wars fans out there. It appears they have commissioned Air Hogs for the job, and that the Millenium Falcon is just the first of a longer line of remote controlled UAVs inspired by the franchise.

First of all, we need to clear something up. Disney had nothing to do with the Star Wars franchise for a long time. It was only in 2012 when George Lucas turned over his story treatment for Episodes VII, VIII, and IX to Disney chairman Bob Iger. He did that after selling Lucasfilm to the company.

George Lucas may not be involved in the movie, but great actors like Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker are reprising their roles from previous Star Wars films, so it should still be fine.

Getting back to the drone in question, we should mention it’s already available for purchase online. The Ultimate Millenium Falcon takes flight with the power of four rotors concealed in the body of the ship (drone). They even enhanced it with Hyperspace mode that you can activate on the remote control. If the deflector shields go down, you need not worry, the Millennium Falcon is built from durable high-density foam making it resilient to a few photo torpedo hits.

With 2.4 GHz communication, you can control the drone up to 200 feet away, while its creator claims you can play with it both indoors and outdoors. Price little under 100 bucks, the Millenium Falcon drone should keep you busy enough until the movie is released.
