Some of us, like your truly, grew up without a play mat and want one so badly, that they’ll be willing to ignore the image prejudice brought by installing one in you mature person living room.
Fortunately, Disney now has a solution for us, giving us the AppMATes application, which turns the iPad into the aforementioned object of desire, with the move being a part of the company’s “Mobile Application Toys”.
You can buy toy cars that represent characters from the Cars 2 movie, with these micro vehicles using sensors that allow you to use it as some sort of iPad joystick after you download a free app.
The vehicles are sold in pairs, with each pack retailing for $19.99. Now, you can get characters Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, Lightning McQueen and Finn Mc Missile, but the company will also launch Francesco Bernoulli and Shu Todoroki in November.
You can buy the AppMATes online, as well as in Apple and Disney stores, with sales starting next month.
