Dirt Drag Racing Is Perfect for the Weekend

The week is coming to an end and in most places it's already too cold to go hang out with some buddies and drink a couple of chilled beers. But that’s OK because it’s a perfect time for dirt drag racing. You know, like normal drag racing, but with more utilitarian-looking machines, big threaded tires and damp soil instead of sticky asphalt.

We found some footage with some “Boggin at the Bottoms” rounds hosted at Muddy Bottoms ATV Park in Sarepta, Los Angeles, and we thought it will be cool to share it with you guys. Seeing some mud shoveled in the air by beefy tires looks rewarding.

The event has some of the hardest hitting action ever in one location, with races including Fast Track, Bog Pit mud races and Hill'n'Hole. The Fast Track compilation bellow will show you some of the fastest back to back passes out there in the “Cuts” class, on a 200 ft (61 m) long track.

It might not be as ground-shaking and impressive as those 12,000 hp top fuel dragsters, but seeing how much grip these things get on loose ground might change your perspective over off-road vehicles.

Not that these are your standard off-roaders, resembling more with Mad Max vehicles, but still...
