Dine in Style at Porsche Cars North America’s New Restaurant

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” OK, maybe Virginia Woolf wanted to express something else when she wrote this line. Nevertheless, love and food quite often go along, and so does the feelings a petrolhead has for his car with the care for the good food. At least that’s how Porsche North America seems to be thinking.

They make eyewear collections, clothes, branded writing tools and mainly any accessory one can think of, but aside for cakes shaped like cars we haven’t heard of food related to the automotive industry. Until now, that is.

So here’s what we know. Porsche North America recently opened a new Experience Center. As opposed to the regular “tease fans with our latest auto products” venture, this time they also created a contemporary restaurant.

Dubbed Restaurant 356 (which is probably a hint at the German’s first production automobile), it offers fine-dining “with a refined yet approachable menu highlighting a wine program celebrating the great wine-growing regions of the world and innovative, classically-focused cocktails.”

Food and drinks are quite exclusive, apparently, but there’s more to it. The location is of the utmost importance, as customers will enjoy the coveted views of the all-new world-class 1.2-mile driver development track and the world’s busiest airport. Here’s how the restaurant is described on the reservation website.

The seasonal menu is rooted in high-quality ingredient-driven dishes that marry diverse flavors and techniques seamlessly culminating the Porsche experience. With a great passion to cultivate partnerships with local farmers, foragers, and artisan craftsmen, our chefs are dedicated to the quality and integrity of our ingredients. Restaurant 356 provides elegant offerings that excite the senses, engage the palate, and satisfy the appetite.”

Hey, don’t get us wrong, we like special food as much as everybody but isn’t this a little too much?
