If there’s one BMW tuner in the US that the entire community knows about, it’s Dinan. The company founded back in the 1970s by Steve Dinan is one of the leaders of the segment today, using its own research and development center.
Through it they came up with a plethora of new parts for the most recent BMWs out there. Their latest creation is a suspension upgrade for the Adaptive M Suspension for F30 335i models, called Shockwave.

Their system works flawlessly with the Electronic Damper Control system fitted to 335is by BMW and allows you to reprogram the damping curve itself.

Using the car’s own software, Shockwave makes adjustments continuously, depending on your needs and it can be used as a standalone upgrade or paired with a Dinan Performance Suspension System.

“Shockware is the most cost effective way to transform your BMW’s suspension without pulling the wheels off,” said Dinan Engineering President, Steve Dinan. “Most of our customers are looking for a more aggressive suspension setup and Shockware gives them the best of both worlds.”

Dinan’s Shockwave system reprograms the car’s software and installing it takes only a couple of minutes. According to the tuner, the suspension will feel harder, depending on the selected mode.

The "Comfort" setting is now tuned to be the "Normal" setting, while the "Normal" setting is now tuned to be the "Sport" setting. The big change is when the car is set to "Sport" as that will turn the suspension rock hard, allowing you to be more aggressive in corners but also less comfortable on bumpy roads.

The price tag for the new software is $399 and can be used on both RWD and xDrive vehicles.
