Dieter Zetsche Comments on Record-Breaking 2013 and Upcoming Year

Mainly thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Cars division, but not only, Daimler AG managed to finish 2013 with some of the biggest numbers ever – from units sold to group revenue.

The year went so well for the Germans apparently, that none other than Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars and owner of the greatest mustache in the automotive kingdom, went out and made a selfie-like video about how awesome Daimler AG and especially Mercedes-Benz are.

The fun part is that Dieter was filmed while behind the wheel of an all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 that is autonomously following an S-Class W222.

We say "autonomously" as in: Dieter Zetsche is in the driver's seat but he isn't using the pedals or the steering wheel, with the actual driving being done automatically by the car itself.

Since the group's revenue was increased to a staggering EUR 118 billion, share pricing increased by 52 percent and sales rose to 2.35 million vehicles, we couldn't have found a better way to celebrate.
