The optional Burmester high-end surround sound system in the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 is in itself a work of art.
Both audiophiles and lovers of beautiful technology should praise the acoustic and visual qualities of the system which is currently developed and made exclusively for the “Sonder Klasse” (Special Class in German).

No less than 24 high-performance speakers and 24 separate amplifiers channels with a total output of 1540 watts sit in the S-Class, providing an unrivaled 3d-sound experience inside the car.

Apart from the 3d-sound, four other preset sounds modes can be selected:
  • Pure – which is a sound reproduction with no additional effects;
  • Live – which brings a sound atmosphere similar to being at a live music concert;
  • Easy Listening – which offers a sound that's better suited for a relaxed listening experience;
  • Surround – which obviously is a surround sound;

In the following video you will have the chance to see and hear Dieter Burmester himself talk about his audio company and the Burmester audio system inside the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
