Did This Guy Break the C-Class W205 Interior Air Vent?

The question in the title is actually a bit ironic, as we would never make such an accusation without further proof and we're pretty sure that AutoGuide's Editors present at this year's Detroit Auto Show were as professional as they could be.
On the other hand, for those who remember our report from a few days ago, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 in following video is the exact same model that had one of its air vent fins broken by someone at the show.

If you watch closely, the AutoGuide static review of the very same car makes absolutely no mention of the problem with the center air vent, despite the video clearly depicting it and Craig Cole specifically talking about what nice “click” noises the new vents make when used.

In other words, there are two options remaining:

  • either the air vent fin was broken before AutoGuide got some time with the car and decided not to make a fuss about it in the short video bellow;
  • or the reviewer broke it right when he specifies how nice they are (the edited footage is showing another part of the car at that moment in time).

Either way, the conclusion remains: the most adored feature of one of the new C-Class W205 models at NAIAS– its interior – has a rather major flaw and nobody is saying anything.
