DHL to Sponsor Andretti's Ryan Hunter-Reay

Attracted by the glamour of the IZOD IndyCar Series, logistics company announced it had decided to lend a hand to Andretti Autosport through a multi-year sponsorship agreement signed today. As a result of the deal, DHL will become primary sponsor for the team's Ryan Hunter-Reay and associate sponsor for Mike Conway.

Hunter-Reay, currently in his second season with the team, will be part of the car revealing action which will take place at the DHL regional headquarters in Plantation, Florida, on March 8. Wearing the DHL livery, the open-wheel racer will be colored in the company's bright yellow, red and white. The first taste of the action for DHL in IndyCar will take place during the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg season opener on March 27.

Last season, Hunter-Reay won the Grand Prix of Long Beach and managed to rank seventh in the series standings. The highlights of his career are a runner-up finish in the season-opening Sao Paulo race, three podiums, six top-fives and 12 top-10 finishes in 17 starts.

“Andretti Autosport has a history of success grounded in the same attributes required to be the First Choice among logistics providers for our customers – speed, reliability, and a “team” spirit focused on putting the “fans” – our customers – at the center of everything we do,” said Wolfgang Giehl, senior vice president for Corporate Brand Marketing for DHL.

“We’re pleased to sponsor this winning motorsports team which provides an excellent opportunity to promote the DHL brand and align with Andretti Autosport in U.S. and global markets.”
