NBA star Devin Booker might have a huge passion for classic cars, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get on with the times and enjoy some modern things. Recently, he just spent time on a boat, in a Maybach S-Class, and wore a very luxurious Patek Philippe watch.
Devin Booker is great at shooting hoops and he’s also great at collecting cars. He is a big fan of Chevrolet, owning several Impalas, including one from 1959, which is his favorite, and another from 1996. He also has a Buick GNX.
The love for classics is one of the things he and his girlfriend, Kendall Jenner, have in common, but it looks like both of them got a taste of some modern, luxurious cars lately. A few days ago, Kendall shared several videos from the backseat of a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, and now it’s Devin’s turn.
On June 21, the Phoenix Suns star shared a picture on his Instagram Stories, showing him in the back seat of the same luxurious model, as he enjoyed some music during his drive. Although neither shared a good look at the sedan, the one Devin was riding in has dark brown leather seats, compared to the lighter one in Kendall’s Maybach S-Class. So, they weren’t borrowing cars from one another.
But the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is a top choice among celebrities, thanks to its luxury, comfort, and performance, and Kendall and Devin make no exception. The current generation is available in two powertrains, the S 580, and the S 680, the latter coming with a V12 under the hood. However, the only version available in the U.S. is the S 580.
The NBA player also shared a picture of himself on board an unnamed boat and a good look at the timepiece on his wrist – a Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5327R in 18k rose gold, which is part of the Grand Complications collection of the luxury brand.
The timepiece features a 39 mm case with a sapphire-crystal case back, it's ivory lacquered and has gold applied Breguet numerals. It also comes with a retail price of just over $103,000.
