It must get boring from time to time to work for the AMG Performance studio branch of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, mostly because there probably aren't that many customers out there who want to drastically improve the aspect of their AMG car and make it truly unique right from the factory.
Either that, or some customers aren't actually aware that there is a “Factory of Dreams” - as they like to call themselves – inside the Mercedes-AMG “regular” factory in Affalterbach.

For whatever reason – a desire to make headlines again, a special customer request or simply boredom – the peeps from the AMG Performance studio recently decided to modify the look of a Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG.

Pink is not usually a color that inspires fear, but when rather tastefully combined with matte black manages to make the aforementioned car look like it should be driven by the real-life and punk-rock version of Barbie.

We are not usually fans of the rather girlie color ourselves, but we have to give it to the AMG Performance Studio designers, which made it OK for us to downright love it, especially in this combination.

The devilish part of the A 45 AMG is most definitely coming from the bonkers powerplant that lurks under the hood and the way those body-hugging sports seats push you when acceleration using the launch-control function.

With no less than 360 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque at its disposal from a displacement of just two liters, the M133 powering this A 45 AMG (and others) can catapult it from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph in just 4.6 seconds – just enough to make you forget that you are actually driving car with pink accents inside and out.
