We salute the idea of a thumper-only festival: organized by a revered name in the business of custom motorcycles, the Deus Ex Machina Festival of Thump promises to bring back attention to this often overlooked segment.
Now, that's something we just don't get too see to often, especially in an age when the V-twin, V4 and the in-line engines seem to dominate the industry. However, it looks like the good old single-cylinder bikes still have a nice warm place in the riders' hearts, and the Festival of Thump is just the right place to be.
Deus Ex Machina's press release invites all thumper owners, regardless of the bike type, dirt, street, custom builds and all, to join the event and even enter their rides in the contests. The festival of Thump will be hosted by the Deus parking lot in Venice, California, 1001 Venice Blvd on March 2nd, whit check-in beginning at 100 am and events staring at noon.
Prizes will be awarded for the following thee categories: Best Factory Original, Best Custom Bike and Unbridled Enthusiasm (no details needed, hopefully). For more info please check with the official Deus website.
