Some people just go to extremes when trying to secure social media glory. Unfortunately, at times they make use of innocent vehicles to attract internet hits, and the result is both hilarious and utterly saddening. Case in point, the 2021 Ram TRX that suffered all kind of mockery and insult in the name of subscriber religion.
It all started less than a month ago when vlogger Street Speed 717 took delivery of his brand new $93k Ram 1500 TRX. The first couple of videos with (probably) the best truck of 2021 (sorry all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor) were pretty tame, as per tradition when first delivery and walkaround tour footage is involved.

But that was just the appetizer because even a street race against a Lamborghini Urus turned out to be almost acceptable compared to what happened next. The shenanigans included jumping the TRX as high as physics allowed – and no, it really didn’t matter the Ram was taking massive damage.

It was all a spiral of death from then on because the truck was also fitted with huge mud tires, lit up in flames, and generally ashamed with every occasion. Yeah, we also count that visit at the drive-thru as seriously hampering one’s self-esteem, especially in those conditions!

Anyways, a brand-new week brings another potentially destructive incident with the 2021 Ram TRX. After the guys spend an awful amount of deal on the phone, from the 11:58 mark, it’s allegedly time for some genuine Street Speed 717-flavored action on a new 20-acre plot of farm that was recently bought (probably to have an intimate place to butcher upcoming vehicles).

This time around, the Ram TRX probably decided on its own that enough was enough, as we find it stuck in the snow because of severe transmission issues. Luckily, a Ford F-150 Raptor was also around to provide assistance, though the rivaling was a bit out of its way with just the front axle outfitted with those hulking 44-inch tires.

So, the new property tour had to be postponed, as the TRX got them disappointed even after the YouTuber specifically mentioned (after celebrating the Ram’s 1,111 miles/1,788 km a little) “I’ve babied it since the day that I got it.” Sure, we’re just going to be taking that for granted, right?!
