Here’s one more nifty opportunity to show your support for the late Marco “Super Sic” Simoncelli, in the shape of the Design for Sic online competition. You could be the one designer whose work will be featured on the new official Marco Simoncelli Foundation 2015 t-shirts… and claw in an awesome prize, too!
Marco’s father Paolo created the Marco Simoncelli Foundation after the unfortunate demise of the MotoGP rider in 2011 and this non-profit organization is developing numerous charitable programs for the disabled. Relying on donations and creative ideas for raising funds, the Marco Simoncelli Foundation in collaboration with long-time partners Dainese have announced a t-shirt design contest which is open to anyone who can draw and is willing to take a shot at glory.

All you must do after creating a t-shirt design is upload it on the dedicated Design For Sic website, share your creation with your friends on social networks and have them vote it. Three of the most voted designs will enter the final stage of the competition and the winning design will be chosen by Marco’s father and his former fiancée Kate Fretti.

Even more than having his or her design on the official Marco Simoncelli Foundation 2015 t-shirt, the winner will also receive a paddock pass for the San Marino round of the 2014 MotoGP championship scheduled for 14 September in Misano. The competitors will be able to start uploading their creations on the designforsic.com website starting with 30 June, 2014. For more details, terms and conditions of the Design for Sic t-shirt design contest please get in touch with the Marco Simoncelli Foundation.

And if you’re a wealthy Sic or Rossi fan and are looking for the best way to spend big bucks on a truly unique piece of MotoGP history, make sure you bid for the original Dainese #thisforSIC58 leathers Valentino Rossi wore during the Mugello MotoGP round on June the 1st. Lino Dainese, the founder of the Dainese company is a close friend of Paolo Marco's and we are definitely going to see more coming from him in the future.
