Dennis Denies Racism Charges

Ron Dennis insisted that the racist and homophobe accusations against him filed by his former employee Peter Boland are simply 'ridiculous'. The McLaren boss was called to explain himself to an employment tribunal in Southampton regarding the accusation of firing his former steward following rumors about his alleged homosexuality.

“My primary purpose for being here are to ensure these untruths are rectified. I am here to defend my reputation which has been badly damaged. I am massively frustrated that things can be said and not challenged until they have been put into print,” Dennis was quoted as saying by British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

Peter Boland, former steward for Dennis in his private airline, stated that he was fired from his job – and later offered a 4-month check to 'keep things under water' – following rumors about his alleged homosexuality within the firm. Also, he revealed that Dennis stated that 'he has to wash his hands all day after shaking hands with Arabs all day' after meeting with business partners in the Middle East.

All of Dennis' companies - McLaren Group Limited, Absolute Taste and Greyscape – were named defendants in the case.

Dennis insisted that the only reason why Boland was laid off was because he used to fall asleep during work hours and was impolite to several guests. Also, he motivated his gesture of trying to settle amicably through a 4-month paycheck by admitting he 'did not follow procedures when sacking Boland'.
