DeltaWing Racing Cars announced that the coupe version of its avant-garde DeltaWing race car is now available for customer purchase.
According to ALMS.com, Elan Motorsports Technologies will built three 2014 DeltaWing coupes and sale them to customers who intend to compete in the 2014 United SportsCar Racing series. Pricing for each race car hasn’t been announced, but interested teams are advised to get in touch with Elan Motorsports for further details.

The 2013 DeltaWing coupe is scheduled to make its debut on September 19 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, for an American Le Mans Series race.

The open cockpit version of the DeltaWing was developed in 2009 by Ben Bowlby’s DeltaWing Racing Cars, Dan Gurney’s All American Racers, Duncan Dayton’s Highcroft Racing, Don Panoz and Nissan’s Nismo division. The vehicle competed in the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2012 Petit Le Mans, while in 2013 it was entered in the 12 Hours of Sebring race.
