Although many fans would go for either a classic, first-generation, Bronco or one of the reinvented family members if given the choice and all expenses were covered by somebody else, there’s ample choice in between, as well.
The original Bronco is much beloved among collectors because of its 1960s aroma and vintage love or hate affair with the competition (particularly Jeep’s CJ-5 and the International Harvester Scout).
The trio of 2021 Broncos (especially the 2-Door and 4-Door big boys) don’t even need any introduction at this point, considering they’re one of the hottest automotive subjects of planet Earth.
So, what happens with the crop of generations nestled in between? As far as we’re concerned, they’re just waiting for their shot at rock crawling glory, whether in mint condition, as affordable commodities, or as customized projects that will easily stand out in any crowd.
This 1994 Ford Bronco XLT easily fits into the latter category... both literally and figuratively. If anything, the towering lift kit, oversized wheels, and custom mag wheels are a clear giveaway, right? For the record, those are Fuel Forged chrome wheels riding on all-terrain tires.
With its light military green paint job and Fox suspension, this custom Bronco should feel right at home both in a deep forest and when riding cool on the highway. That’s also due to the mechanical parts easily taking care of business; there's a V8 under the hood, three-speed automatic with overdrive, and push-button four-wheel drive.
Just about everything is power-assisted, including the steering, brakes, and hidden running boards. We even like the off-roading/cruiser details, such as the “Bodyguard” bumpers that are also chock-full of LED lights or the chromed side exhaust tip.
Although we love the light green/white two-tone combination of the exterior, the gray interior isn’t as inspiring. That’s despite the comfy-looking front bucket seats and because the 1980’s looking subwoofer nestling in the trunk area.
Still, we could see certain fans cope with the spicy asking price of $49,997 as they imagine this meteoric appearance crashing the party at the next tailgating event.
