Deadmau5’ Tesla Model S P85D Is Here, and It’s Sitting Next to a Lamborghini Aventador

Ever wished you had magic powers; clap your hands and buy a new car, blink once for a Porsche 911 Carrera S, twice for a new McLaren P1? That’s celebrity lifestyle right there. It’s also why Elon Musk’s marketing idea was smart, convincing famous people that Tesla EVs are cool, fun and luxurious.

Sure, you can wrap something genuinely clever, make it look nice and shiny, but as long as there’s nothing truly impressive under the bonnet, people will know. Hey, let’s face it, you don’t have to be Lewis Hamilton to figure a car out. If it’s powerful, if it’s fast and mean, you’ll know it.

Joel Zimmerman, the Canadian DJ running with the Gods of electronic, is a hardcore car enthusiast. And Deadmau5 is not just a buyer like Floyd Mayweather, who rarely gets to drive his rarities. Apparently he’s already considering a racing career, a passion currently being only a hobby.

As we previously reported, fellow rich boy here took a test drive with a Tesla Model S P85D and shortly after decided to buy it. He took delivery of his super fast EV last week and so far seems to be enjoying it. In fact, he took the EV for a spin the other day and couldn’t help but notice both his new ride and the Lamborghini Aventador parked next to it were sharing something.

Deadmau5 was referring to the engine driving the two cars, which are both 691 horsepower beasts. Sure, when the Aventador ignites it has a specific roar nobody could ever neglect while the other one does it exactly how the DJ described it “without a peep.”

The question here is which one is the real celebrity car of the moment?
