Canadian DJ Deadmau5 was among McLaren’s happy customers who announced he ordered one of the company’s superb hypercars recently. So now, the fellow is basically counting the days until his McLaren P1 arrives at his door. This is why fellows over at the auto shop though sending him a scale model of his future ride would be a good idea.
When you buy a one million dollar hypercar considered as one of the world’s best ever it’s only normal you feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. And Zimmerman is not only a celebrity who can afford the “best candies”, but he’s also an avid driver who loves cars and even races them every now and then.
This is probably why folks over at McLaren Toronto, part of Pfaff Automotive Partners, thought it would be better to delay the DJ’s “thirst” for the P1 with a mini-P1, just to keep the man busy until March, when the car is supposed to be ready for delivery. “Omg!!! it's here it's here!!! Thank you Pfaff!!! Smaller than I thought... But still!” Deadmau5 wrote next to the picture of the scale model car he posted on Instagram.
Update: Turns out our readers are right. The McLaren P1 scale model in question is not really the one we can find on McLaren’s Store, which is mounted on a carbon fiber base plate with a clear acrylic dust cover and comes at 1:8 scale. Deadmau5’s P1 is truly just a regular 1:43 which means it’s a lot way cheaper. Thanks for the heads up guys!

But they don’t come cheap...
In case you decided not to sell your house and most of your belongings after all (because that is what you need to get close to actually affording a McLaren P1). You could, however, start saving up for something else. If you’re really that crazy about the car, maybe you should considering getting a scale model P1 for yourself, as well. But don’t think that this will come cheap. In fact, you’ll need $6,250 (£3,875) to get one just like Deadmau5’. So what’s it going to be?Update: Turns out our readers are right.
