Since we love cars and speed any person willing to race powerful single seat sportscars has our appreciation. Deadmau5 is rather a man of sounds, than a person of professional driving moves, but we recently discovered his aspiration to hit the race track as often as possible. One of the latest acquisition he made to back up his hobby is a Mono car and looking at the pictures he recently posted on Instagram, is soon ready for a spin.
Even though the car had to be ready by now, as we previously reported, judging by the pictures Zimmerman posted on Instagram, we’re pretty sure it’s a matter of days until the Canadian DJ will take his one-seater sportscar for a spin. Who knows, he might even invite his good friend Nascar racer James Hinchcliffe for a drive, since they do race each other every now and then.

Aside from the car itself, which comes with some serious futuristic looks, Deadmau5 also had his personal logo stamped on the helmet. “It’s still being built, but most of the body is on, engines strapped in, all we need is some wheels and a seat. And a steering wheel. The wait is killing me”, Zoel quoted next to the pictures.

In case you haven’t yet found out about the car itself, Mono is manufactured by Temecula, California-based company BAC and is a lightweight, ultra high performance, road legal sportscar. In numbers, the one-seat car comes with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder Ford Duratec engine that produces 288 horsepower and 206 lb-ft (279 Nm). The F3-specification six-speed sequential gearbox operates a semi-automatic transmission which was designed to complete gear shifts in 35 milliseconds.

It’s no wonder Deadmau5 is loosing his patience while waiting for the car to be ready, considering we’re looking at every petrol head’s dream come true here.
