The Canadian DJ Deadmau5, famous for his progressive-house music, seems to be into industrial rock when it comes to the tunes he listens to in his car. He recently posted an image from the brand new McLaren 650S that shows his player tuning on Nine Inch Nails song, Ghosts 1-4.
Have you ever thought of what your favorite DJs listen to when they cruise along in their supercars? Well, Joel Thomas Zimmerman, better known by his stage name Deadmau5, thought of it so he offered his fans a picture taken while he was driving the McLaren’s latest model.

But let us look closer. Nine Inch Nails is an industrial rock band, founded in 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio. Trent Reznor is the main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist that remains part of the band since its existence. After recording a new album, Reznor usually assembles a live band to perform with him. The touring band features a revolving lineup that often rearranges songs to fit a live setting.

In other words, having a progressive-house DJ listening to industrial rock sounds quite normal considering that, in a way, they both do the same thing: mix up. Oh well, it’s not us who should figure that out. What we can tell though, is that the song Deadmau5 was playing in his McLaren 650S has a similar name with one of the DJ’s old mix, called “Ghosts n Stuff.”
