If you're a fan of biking history and painting, then this piece is for you: artist David Uhl releases "Wing and Prayer", a new commemorative painting to honor the daring riders who have astonished the crowd present on Florida's beaches back in the 1920s.
His work is based on black and white photos taken back then and signed and numbered canvas prints will be available throughout the Bike Week for discounted prices. A limited number of Uhl's "Wing and Prayer" canvas will be available for purchase, with edition numbers assigned as orders are taken, and they all come framed, with Certificate of Authenticity and a commemorative plaque.
While the usual price would be $1,250 (€960) plus shipping, collectors can get their Uhl fine art for $895 for the framed 19.5″ x 26″ (€688 49 x 66cm) and $2,250 for the 27″ x 36″ (€1,730 68 x 91 cm). The Uhl gallery will be on display March 7-17 at Destination Daytona Harley-Davidson in Ormond Beach, and reservations can be made by calling 303-913-4840. Via Cyril Huze.
