Dartz Plays Dirty with Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy

Just when we thought there isn’t anything that Russian tuner Dartz can come up with and take us by surprise, we were slapped in the face by their latest controversial creation: Spirit of Xtasy or the Dartz o’Z’car.

We are sure that just taking one look at the adjacent picture you’ll need no further explanation, but we have to mention that this is, in fact, a hood ornament for cars. Not just any cars, as Dartz thought it would work well on the two Rolls-Royce based project they are working on.

The changes the team have applied to the cars are irrelevant compared to the accessory that replaces the original hood ornament on the luxury vehicles.

To refresh your memory, that is called Spirit of Ecstasy (or Emily”, “Silver Lady” ,“Flying Lady"). Regardless the name, it shows a a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her, with her cloth resembling wings.

On the other hand, Dartz is showing us a more... unusual interpretation of the ornament, which is also inspired form the iconic gold Oscar statue. As you can see, the o’Z'car gold plated version shows a men and a woman in an... intimate position. To say the least.

The guys at JamesList also say that the male figure in this ornament resembles to Dartz founder Leonard F. Yankelovich, although he is not that athletic, and keeps his clothes off most of the time.

However, wether you find the Dartz ornament amusing or not, it’s not your call. We are most interested on what the guys at Rolls Royce have to say about this.
