Dark Void Gamers Play for a Tesla Roadster

Tesla Motors became the official partner of Capcom, a video games developer, to bring gamers the Dark Void Tesla Roadster Giveaway. The sweepstakes debuted on October 12 with an event at the flagship Tesla Motors showroom in Silicon Valley, and invites gamers to enter the Dark Void website and register to win either an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas to test drive a Roadster or the Grand Prize, their own Roadster.

Dark Void is a sci-fi action-adventure game that combines adrenaline-fueled aerial and ground-pounding combat, which will be shipping on January 12, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

So, five of the participants can win a free trip to Las Vegas this January during the Consumer Electronics Show to test drive the Tesla Roadster with the Dark Void development team and only one of them will get his/her very own Tesla Roadster.

Gamers who enter before December 7 are eligible for the Test Drive Event and the grand prize. Those who enter after Dec. 7 will be eligible for the grand prize only. The winner of the Tesla Roadster will be announced in February 2010.

"One of the characters in Dark Void is brilliant inventor Nikola Tesla, whose passion and intelligence inspired creativity and advances in technology far ahead of his time," said Mona Hamilton, marketing vice president at Capcom Entertainment in a release. "The company continues to push the technological envelope with the first electric sports car to go from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. That's almost as fast as the main vehicle in the game, the jet pack!"

"Nikola Tesla obsessed over building the perfect machine, just like Tesla Motors. Until the parallel-universe jet pack becomes a reality, there's always the Roadster,"
said Ricardo Reyes, vice president, communications, Tesla Motors.
