Dante to Unveil 24-Karat Ferrari 250 GTO Sculpture at Pebble Beach

Renowned Swiss artist Dante is to bring its sports car series of sculptures to the United Sates, which covers three scales, each of which can be supplied in traditional gold, white gold, silver and a selection of other luxury finishes. To date, the series includes the Aston-Martin DB5, Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing and Ferrari 250 GTO, which will be revealed next month in Pebble Beach, California.

"The iconic car sculptures are my tribute to the men who made the original cars: they were artists," said Dante.

The third piece in Dante's Iconic Sports Car series will make its US debut during the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance weekend. The 24-Karat Ferrari 250 GTO’s unveiling coincides with a special display of rare Ferrari 250 GTO cars which the Concours has assembled from all over the world.

"I am delighted to have the chance to come to Pebble Beach to experience the finest Concours event in the world and exhibit my sculptures," added the artist. "One of the most important reasons for my coming to Pebble Beach is the celebration of the Ferrari 250 GTO and the number of original cars being shown.  It is my favorite car of all time.”

Each design in Dante’s series is limited to ten pieces.

The new 1:8 scale interpretation of Enzo Ferrari made its debut at the 2011 Top Marques of Monaco, where Ferrari collector, and British television and radio presenter, Chris Evans, was invited to unveil the sculpture. As owner of an original 250 GTO, chassis number 4675 GT, Chris Evans was the ideal person for the job.
