A batch of Chinese patent drawings showing Range Rover Evoque-based competition SUV have surfaced the Internet earlier this week.
There’s no info that may suggest the purpose of this vehicle or whether or not the concept belongs to Land Rover Jaguar, but it certainly looks like a three-door Range Rover Evoque that could face the sandy dunes and rough terrain of the Dakar Rally.

The vehicle features an upgraded suspension, large alloy wheels (although they’re far from being proper off-road rollers), underbody plate, mud flaps, and a roof-mounted scoop that should send air to a rear-mounted engine.

Similar to Bowler’s Evoque-based Desert Warrior 3, the patent could also preview a road legal vehicle that may be introduced later this year. Since it’s a bit too early to speculate further, with next to no info available, we’ll wait for more information to surface.
