Not even a year and a half after they entered the market, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has received the Apollo CV Award, which named the German company as “Commercial Vehicle Maker of the Year.
DICV was honored for the amazing impact that it had on modernizing India's entire commercial vehicle industry, while the locally-built BharatBenz 1217C tipper truck also won the sector award in the category “Commercial Vehicle Innovation of the Year 2013”.

The two aforementioned achievements were further enhanced by the BharatBenz318C, which received the award in the category “HCV Cargo Carrier over 25 tons.”

“At DICV, we have every reason to be proud of ourselves. Being named ‘Commercial Vehicle Maker of the Year’ only one and a half years after the market launch underlines the impact on the development of the industry that is ascribed to BharatBenz”, said Marc Llistosella, Managing Director and CEO of DICV. “This accolade from the sector is an incentive for us to keep up our fast pace and continue to roll out our products on the market.”
