Daimler Awards Best Suppliers for 2009

Daimler AG has held its annual “Daimler Key Supplier Meeting” in Stuttgart, Germany, awarding their best suppliers of 2009. A total of 13 companies entered the “Daimler Supplier Award 2009" list, joined by a 14th one, which received a special award for innovation. Through the special action, Daimler is recognizing top performance, a quality measured through a global system. This uses four criteria: quality, cost, logistics and technology/innovation. Daimler emphasizes the fact that its relations with suppliers are built on fairness, reliability and trust. “We’ll go for the best or nothing. We’ll demand that of ourselves and of you,“ Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars said during the event. He added that the company predicts excellent relations for the future, based on last year’s results. Over 600 guests took part in the event - the entire Daimler Board of Management was present.
