More than 130,000 eligible wage-tariff employees will receive a much fatter paycheck in April, as The Board of Management and the General Works Council have decided to pay them a special bonus of 500 Euros on top of the profit sharing payment of 2,541 Euros.

“The special efforts put forth by our employees in 2013 and the exceptional performance they delivered played a crucial role in enabling us to turn a difficult start in the first quarter into a successful year. We want to thank our employees with a special bonus in addition to the profit sharing payment,” said Wilfried Porth, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG for Human Resources and Mercedes-Benz Vans, and Director of Labor Relations.

As you know, Daimler AG had a pretty good year in 2013, with both sales and profits reaching record-breaking figures, so it's nice to see that they are now sharing the success with the employees as well.
