You’re never going to hear the word “luxury” coming out of Dacia’s mouth, as their cars usually only do one thing. The Duster is a crossover, the Logan is a sedan and the Sandero works in the city. They are just basic cars!
The same could be said about the new Lodgy - it’s just an MPV, and it’s even built in Morocco, not Europe. However, if all you want is big car into which you can fit all your kids, the Lodgy might be for you.
The first commercial for the Dacia Lodgy has been engineered by Renault and started airing across Europe over the weekend. It shows two similarly sized families, one fitting perfectly fine into the roomy Romanian MPV, the other not being able to do the same in what looks to be a TVR Cerbera from the late 90s.
The Cerbera might be big, but most of the room is taken up by a massive V8. The sportscar itself was designed from the start as a four-seater. The rear seats are smaller than the front, a design commonly referred to as a "2+2". However, the interior is designed so that the passenger seat can slide farther forward than the driver's seat, but there’s still not enough room for a whole family.
