After the spontaneous strike at the Dacia plant in Mioveni, Romania, that paused the production for a day and a half, the employees got back to work as they were ensured that their demands will be reconsidered.
According to Dacia’s spokeswoman Anca Oreviceanu, the company hasn’t calculated the strike’s impact over the production yet, as they are currently negotiating on the collective work agreement. Judging that the plant manufactures 1,400 cars per day, it is possible that they are approximately 2,000 vehicles behind schedule.
The workers have an average salary of RON3,700 ($1,100) in comparison with the national average of RON2,100, but still, they say that working conditions are tough and want a 25% raise.
