Dacia Duster FC St. Pauli Edition Announced

The paint hasn't dried yet on the new Dacia Duster SUV and the Romanian brand announces the first special version of its newly-born SUV. Called FC St. Pauli Edition, the special range is sold with both gasoline and diesel engines and is exclusively available in the German market.

Autocarbe.com writes that pricing starts at 14,400 Euros for the 1.6-liter 16V 110 hp version with 4x2 and goes all the way up to 18,200 Euros for the 1.5 dCI 110 hp with 4x4 configuration.

Feature highlights include air conditioning, radio CD MP3, leather-wrapped steering wheel, painted bumpers, grille and other chrome accents, alloy wheels, folding rear seat, computer, four airbags, ABS, EBD, electric and wheel package, according to the aforementioned source.

Meanwhile, Dacia is still preparing the official debut of the Duster, an event scheduled to take place across Europe in the upcoming months. Romania is one of the first markets to receive the new SUV, as the official release is planned for May 18. Alain Prost, who already drove the specially-tuned Duster in Trophee Andros, will attend the Romanian launch.

There will be three engines available across the range for both 4x2 and 4x4 versions: one petrol engine (1.6 16V 110hp) and two diesel engines (dCi 85 and dCi 110). According to information revealed at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, the Swiss event that hosted the official debut of the car, the dCi versions emit from 135g of CO2/km for the 4x2 version (which qualifies it for the Dacia eco2 signature) and from 145g of CO2/km in the case of the 4x4 version.
