The cars that James May has been waiting on for so long are almost there, on British shores. From what we gather from reading the official statement made by Dacia UK, official pricing for the Duster SUV will be announced exactly 100 days from now on June 28th. Availability, engine choices and specs should be announced then, and at the same time order books will be opened.
If you can do without electric windows or massaging seats, the Dacia range will start at less than £10,000 for the front-drive model and £12,500 for the 4x4.
“Forget Bentley’s new SUV, the new BMW 3-Series, even the Toyota GT-86, arguably the most exciting UK car story in 2012 could yet be Dacia’s long-awaited arrival in the UK. Having taken the global car market by storm in recent years, Dacia is poised to shake things up a little in the UK, when pricing details are made public for its eagerly-anticipated Duster SUV on 28th June this year,” Dacia says.
The cars will be built by a Renault-Nissan Alliance factory in India starting in late 2012 in right-hand drive.
