Dacia Duster, Appealing to Women

Dacia is growing, that's for sure. And along with this impressive growth, the Romanian brand is also migrating to a new type of culture. Up until now, most of its models, designed (or not) in collaboration with Renault, were addressed to emerging markets and to people looking for budget-minded vehicles. However, the Duster is going to be different.

Even if this might make you laugh, this is what Constantin Stroe, Dacia's vice-president, promises. He ensures Dacia's fans (if there are any) that the SUV, which will be officially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, will target all kinds of buyers. Including women. Yes, you've read it right, Dacia hopes the Duster would successfully carry a "lady" from point A to point B without affecting her image (as in the way it affects the social status).

Although we're still not sure that the Duster has what it takes to become a woman's car, the Duster is going to hit the market soon after its Geneva appearance. Stroe told Romanian publication that Dacia's main production facility in Mioveni has already started production of the SUV, so the car can easily arrive in nationwide dealerships immediately after the public debut.

As for pricing, you - as a lady - would sure afford it. Rumors are claiming that it could go in between 12,000 Euros and 20,000 Euros, depending on the engine and the options you choose. This would be probably Duster's secret weapon in the fight against the already popular rivals. However, don't expect to find LED surroundings for the vanity mirror or special holders to carry your purse...
