The e-bike market has experienced a dramatic rise over the last few years, and though demand seems to be dwindling at the moment, the micro-mobility industry is still thriving, with more and more city dwellers interested in shifting to low-carbon, more sustainable, and more affordable modes of transport.
As competition is getting fiercer in the e-bike sector, there is also a lot of variety. From small, agile e-bikes to adventure-oriented models and two-wheeled counterparts of a freight hauler, there is something for everyone in the market. The latest offering comes from Cyrusher, a renowned Chinese bike maker that has been crafting high-performance and robust electric bikes since 2014. It is called the Scout and features ground-breaking dual-motor technology.

Described as a "harmonious blend of compactness and uncompromised performance," the Scout launches as a low-step adventure e-bike whose essence lies in its adaptability. It is designed to tackle any kind of terrain effortlessly, regardless of whether it's urban asphalt or steep trails, and set new standards for performance in the e-bike world with its dual motor/dual battery setup.

Actually, the new e-bike can also be had with a single motor/battery configuration, but if you are a thrill-seeker and want to wander off the beaten path without experiencing range anxiety, the dual motor, dual batteries configuration might be the best fit.

The standard model comes equipped with a single 1,000-W brushless Bafang hub motor fed by a 52-V/20-Ah downtube battery built with LG cells. This version offers a range of 56 miles (90 km) per charge and allows riders to zip through city streets at speeds up to 28 mph (45 kph).

Meanwhile, the Scout Pro model is capable of easily conquering changing roads with two 750-W hub motors and dual batteries, promising up to 112 miles (180 km) of range (though that number is achievable when using a single motor). Riders will be able to decide whether to activate only one motor or both, but regardless of their choice, they will be able to use a Shimano 7-speed gearset and an intuitive half-twist throttle.

Scout's low-step 6061 aluminum frame is another attractive feature, as it makes it accessible to a wide range of riders. It thus accommodates riders between 5.5 to 6.6 ft (1.7 - 2 m) in height. Comfort is further enhanced by a moped-style saddle, and there is also space in the back for hauling gear.

Moreover, the adventure bike promises a smooth and stable ride even on rougher terrain thanks to a lockout suspension fork, air-damped shock to the rear, and 20-inch Kenda fat tires. Stopping power is ensured by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180-mm rotors.

An oversized 250-lumen headlight and LED taillight will illuminate the rider's path while also adding a touch of style to the e-bike.

If you're in the market for a capable, versatile electric bike for both urban commutes and joy rides off the beaten path, the Cyrusher Scout is already up for pre-order. The single-motor model is available for US $2,999, while the dual-motor Pro version is priced at $3,999, but you can get it for $300 less now with the company's early bird discount.
