Cycle Ergo Virtual Bike Size Test Now Available

Choosing a motorcycle judging by its looks or performances is not that hard, but the final decision should also include the riding position. For those of you who worry about buying a motorcycle that is too small, too big, too tall or is uncomfortable, a new web-based tool comes to your aid.

A new graphic program dubbed Cycle Ergo is now available as a virtual solution to the nightmare of findings different models to sit on and accommodate yourself to its proportions.

Cycle Ergo works by using a formula to calculate how different sized riders would sit on various motorcycle models, by comparing the motorcycle measurements with the data entered by the user.

The website is quite easy to navigate, allowing you to select the bike model you’re interested in, adjust your body size via the +/- buttons, and offering you a graphic image of how your body would be positioned on the respective vehicle.

There is a wide variety of motorcycles to choose from in the list, from all major manufacturers, while the measurements can be switched between imperial and metric. Furthermore, it even provides data for forward lean and knee bend angle.

Available adjustments includes features such as suspension compression, arm straightness, the addition of bar risers, bar pullback and even seat height.

Albeit is not as good as going to a dealer and test the riding position in real life, the site comes as an innovative way of giving you a general idea on the subject. There is no info on who is behind the Cycle Ergo website, but it’s an interesting tool so you can at least have a bit of fun trying it.
