Fancy trying your luck and getting your hands on a custom retro BMW machine? Well, in case the answer is yes, here's your chance with the American Motorcycle Association (AMA), which is raffling a 1975 BMW R75/6.
The ticket price is modest and you can get one entry for $5 or five entries for every $20 increment in donations towards the AMA. Of course, the odds of winning the grand prize depends on the number of entries, but at least you can improve your chances if you can afford to spend some bucks in the process.

This BMW was customized by Tony Prust from Analog Motorcycles in Chicago, Illinois, and was transformed into a minimalist bike that looks like it could do both street and dirt with the same ease. The engine received a complete overhaul and is now running as smoothly as it did back in the day, and even more so.

Analog Motorcycles upgraded the ignition to modern, high-performance specs, and the rest of the electric/electronic were also updated, with Race Tech Gold valves being also on the menu. Because this BMW was supposed to be a bike the lucky winner can ride daily, the stock suspensions were binned and replaced with Fox Street RC1 units.

Billet triple clamps and pegs were manufactured in house, and a new rear subframe fabricated to accommodate the new suspensions and provide an updated riding position. The entire wiring was remade and the bike received new controls and brake lines. A drilled rotor upgraded the front for extra braking power, while the chunky retro hubs were retained.

A custom tank was also manufactured and the bike was repainted, with the front receiving dual stacked LED headlights and a minimalist gauge.

You can start buying raffle tickets from the AMA website or at the various events where this BMW will be on display throughout the year. You can meet the bike in the flesh this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, during the US MotoGP round. Nice to see BMW getting involved more and more in the North American custom bike scene.
