The Toyota Corona Mark II coupe is so rare and unknown that you’ll only find some occasional photos with it over the Internet and maybe a Japanese brochure for the Mark I version. Still it’s one of the most beautiful 2-door coupes Toyota ever made.
It’s definitely the best-looking Corona model ever been in production and seeing its sleek fastback shape from a distance, you could swear its an american musclecar. If the old Celica Coupe is seen as Japan’s Mustang, the Corona MkII X20 series can totally be considered as their version of a Charger or Barracuda.

However, the export version came fitted with either a 2.3-liter inline-six producing 108 hp or a slightly larger 2.6 one doing 122 hp. Kinda weak if you consider the 70’s Dodge Charger.

That’s why Victor decided to give his newly built Corona MkII a new more modern heart. He kept it Toyota all the way and fitted the cramped engine bay a 2JZ -GTE bi-turbo power plant, transforming it into an automotive Hulk version, also aided by that deep luster green body shade perfectly complimented by a black side stripe.

The engine has been left pure stock to make out the most out of its reliability, because Victor is using this awesome Corona as a daily driver. Sir we salute you.
