Custom Kawasaki W650 Is Love at First Sight

This period might not be quite the absolute best for some European countries, not economically, and by all means, not for bike customization.

Nevertheless, where passion meets skill, such obstacles are easily surpassed, like it was the case of Portuguese custom enthusiasts Pedro and Daniel, from the Ton-Up garage.

Their latest work is a custom Kawasaki W650 based on a 2004 model, receiving a lot of custom work and literally getting a new life. The Ton-Up guys wanted a nifty bike somewhere between the road and off-the-road segments, and with classic looks.

Therefore, the rear subframe had to be shortened and a custom, quilted new seat was installed, together with the classic side panels. The original tank was replaced by a new, more retro one, a perfect match for the white-color custom headlight and the white handles.

All the instruments and lighting elements were replaced with more stylish, smaller ones. The exhaust is entirely custom-made from welded steel rings and looks as mean as it gets, while at the same time clean and simple. Öhlins provided the dual rear shocks and the whole bike got an awesome gold/ white/ black paint job with an unbelievably warm feeling about it, strangely matching the knobby off-road tires.
