A Harley-Davidson XL1200 cafe-racer with some of the looks of an incredibly mean hypermotard? Well, that's more likely a bike you see on your dreams. Thankfully, Spain-based Cafe Racer Dreams (CRD) is specialized in making dreams come true, so here's The Stroke, on of their latest commissioned bikes.
Starting off from a casual XL1200 Nightster, CRD went on to transform it into a bike retaining the Milwaukee allure with a completely different and utterly changed character. Pedro, the man behind the CRD lettering wanted the new bike to boast an accent on the engine, so the tank had to go. Replaced by a Storz one with a custom, simple and elegant 3-color paint job, the H-D could now emphasize the asphalt aggression the V-twin craved.
Premium K&N filters were installed and Storz dual exhausts took the place of the standard Harley ones. Slightly flared and straight, they evoke the racers of old and look as sporty as it gets. Since the original Nightster is anything but a cafe-racer, the subframe had to be modified and a new one accommodated the custom leather vintage-approved seat.
LSL bars got Renthal grips and Performance Machine upper controls, while the low headlight stresses the aggressive stance of the Stroke. with Tarozzi rear-mounted foot controls were also fitted for racing-oriented ergonomics. Excel rims got 17” tires and the awesome white CRD lettering finished the 3-month building of the Cafe Racer Dreams Stroke.
