If you’re in the market for a bargain, the Chevrolet Camaro restomod that we have here might be worth checking out, as the owner claims they spent no less than $190,000 to make the whole thing happen.
And now the car is listed on eBay with an $84,995 price tag, which should make this Camaro (it is a '68 model year, so it’s part of the first-generation model that officially went on sale in 1966) an offer that really can’t be easily refused.

Chevrolet was building four different Camaro versions for model year 1968, namely the base model, the RS, the SS, and the Z28. The carmaker shipped a little over 235,000 units that year, with the Z28 accounting for nearly 7,200 of them.

Earth MotorCars, the garage that’s selling the car, claims this Camaro is now powered by a 427ci (7.0-liter) small-block 8-cylinder engine that’s paired with a Viper 6-speed manual transmission.

Worth knowing is that the 427ci engine wasn’t offered as a factory-installed powerplant for the ’68 Camaro, but a series of dealerships offered to replace the 396ci (6.5-liter) unit with this small-block sibling for those seeking enhanced performance. The garage claims this is a custom 427, but no additional info is shared on any possible modification or the final output.

The restomod package on this Camaro includes a race-inspired suspension system, a custom interior with power windows, air conditioning, and a latest-generation multi-speaker stereo with features like iPod support and Bluetooth connectivity.

According to the eBay listing, the odometer indicates only 1,000 miles (1,609 km), most likely since the car’s restoration was completed. It’s painted orange, and judging from the photos that you can also find in this article, the Camaro comes in tip-top shape with no visible scratch or dent.

The car is located in Carrollton, Texas should you want to check it out in person.
