If your looking to purchase a one-off fifth-generation Ford Mustang, then you should head over to the Mecum Auctions event in Dallas starting September 4, where a custom 2007 Ford Stryker Mustang in patriotic livery will cross the block at no reserve.
Donated by George Shinn, former owner of the Charlotte Hornets NBA basketball team, this bespoke Mustang was built by Texas Classic Cars and Sanderson Customs and Conversions as a tribute to America’s military and was named after two American serviceman and recipients of the Medal of Honor - Stuart S. Stryker and Robert F. Stryker.
All proceeds will directly benefit The Roever Foundation and its Operation Warrior RECONnect program, which was established by injured Vietnam Veteran Dave Roever to help those in underprivileged countries, the youth in American public schools and military by providing them with inspirational speaking tours and life training.
The Stryker Mustang is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that delivers 700 HP and features a Kenne Bell twin screw supercharger, 3.73 geared rear end, 20-inch American Racing Razor wheels, two tone Charcoal and Silver interior, and a Shaker sound system with six disc changer. The musclecar won numerous best of show, best paint and people’s choice awards at several events across the US.
