Just like his most famous on-screen character, actor Paul Walker loved everything with big engines and wheels, and during his life Walker amassed an impressive collection of cars and motorcycles. A great deal of them got sold over the past week during the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Aside from a big number of cars belonging to Walker, a few of his bikes went under the hammer as well. Among them there was a BMW F800GS from 2011, a 2008 Suzuki DR-Z400SM, but most importantly, a very special Harley.
Customized back in 2005 by California-based Road Dog Customs, the FLTSCI machine was created by taking inspiration from the bikes Harley-Davidson used to make way back in the 1940s and 1950s.
Many parts of the bike, both body and mechanical, have been custom made to meet Walker’s requirements. That includes the instrument cluster, handlebars, open belt, floorboards, exhaust pipes and oil tank.
The wheels of the bike are black powder-coated, while the rest of the body received a custom paint job, with all of the chrome replaced by nickel plating and enhanced with pinstriping.
The rider, who at times must have been Walker himself, seats on an area wrapped in alligator-inspired leather.
As for what powers the bike, the FLTSCI uses a 1,440cc engine of unspecified mileage mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
It’s not clear how much money went into remaking the 2005 FLTSCI as per Walker’s specifications, so it's not known if the $34,100 received for it covers the expenses.
We are not told who purchased the bike, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it pop up at other auctions in the coming future.
